Optional Student Device Insurance

Hello Parents,

We're excited to announce that the Baldwin Park Unified School District has chosen School Device Coverage (SDC) to insure the devices that will be given to your student as part of this year's 1:1 device program. We encourage parents to get this insurance but it is completely optional.
This insurance program will protect families in the event that a student's device is lost, stolen, or damaged accidentally. For one low annual price, families may file a claim against any number of incidents that take place with no deductibles, no added fees, and no claims limits. The device insurance does NOT cover the charger nor the case. All that is needed is an email, Student ID Number, and the Serial Number of the Chromebook that was issued to your student. OPEN ENROLLMENT BEGINS JULY 1ST AND ENDS ON OCTOBER 31ST.
There are 2 ways to obtain coverage:

2- Fill out the flyer below and mail it along with a $30 check payable to:

How to file a claim:
 
If the device is damaged:
 
1- File a claim online here: https://schooldevicecoverage.com/login
 
2- Bring the device to the school with a printed copy of the claim
 
3- The School will issue a new device no questions asked
 
4- Make sure you register the new device in case you have to file another claim later.
 
If the device is lost or Stolen:
 
1- File a police Claim
 
2- File a claim online here: https://schooldevicecoverage.com/login
 
3- Bring the device to the school with a printed copy of the claim and police Report
 
4- The School will issue a new device no questions asked
 
5- Make sure you register the new device in case you have to file another claim later.
