Baldwin Park High Secures Iconic CIF Playoff Win Against Big Bear

Facing snowy conditions, the Braves showcased their resilience and skill, securing a remarkable 28-21 win.

The Braves established an early lead, ending the first quarter ahead 13-0 and extending their advantage to 28-7 by the second quarter. At halftime, Baldwin Park held a commanding 28-7 lead. While Big Bear mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, the Braves maintained their dedication and emerged victorious with a final score of 28-21.

The celebration in the snow added to the excitement for students and fans, and the team’s achievement earned widespread media coverage. Major outlets, including ABC 7 LA, Sports Illustrated, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, MSN, and the Los Angeles Times, highlighted Baldwin Park’s iconic performance.

Looking ahead, the Braves will face Portola High School in Irvine on Friday, November 22, in the CIF Semifinals.
