Geddes Elementary Receives Surprise Donation During Pep Rally

Geddes Elementary celebrated college and career readiness with an inspiring rally that featured performances and personal stories from teachers, along with a fun spin on Musical Chairs for staff. Colleges represented in classrooms included UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, UCLA, Santa Clara University, University of Hawaii, Stanford, UC San Diego, Cal Poly Pomona, and more. TK through 5th grade students and teachers performed college chants, while several teachers shared their personal college and career journeys to motivate students.

In addition to promoting academic and career aspirations, Geddes Elementary received a generous donation from Gemini Legal. The donation, which included a snow cone machine, popcorn machine, and a variety of Squishmallows, will be used as student reward incentives to encourage engagement and positive behavior.

Gemini Legal representative Alexza Armendariz explained the company’s desire to provide something special for students, noting that the donation aims to encourage attendance, engagement, and bring a little joy to their day. "We believe the students deserve something that not only motivates them to come to school but also makes learning a little more fun," Armendariz said.

Armendariz also acknowledged the hard work of Geddes' teachers and staff, recognizing the donation as a gesture of appreciation for their commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Geddes Elementary was selected for the donation due to the school’s recent expansion, welcoming new families and students into its growing community. Principal Wendy Enriquez expressed her gratitude, emphasizing that the incentives will further promote a positive atmosphere for both students and staff.

This generous donation will support the school’s continued focus on student achievement and positive behavior, providing fun and meaningful rewards for students.
