The 15th Annual College and Career Fair kicked off with a keynote address by Susanna Hernandez, who inspired students to take charge of their futures and pursue their passions. Her speech set an empowering tone for the day, encouraging attendees to harness their potential.
The fair featured more than 12 vendors representing colleges, career pathways, trades, and local organizations. Over 20 workshops were available for students and families, covering topics such as education planning, transitioning from middle to high school, resume writing, mental health, and more. One of the most popular activities was the drone workshop hosted by Baldwin Park High School’s Drone and Cisco Pathways, offering hands-on learning in technology and aviation.
“We are thrilled to offer our students and families this opportunity to connect with so many resources,” Superintendent Dr. Froilan N. Mendoza said. “Our goal is to help every student plan for their future, whether it’s through higher education, vocational training, or career opportunities.”
Special thanks were given to Sierra Vista High School for hosting the event, which provided workshops on topics such as resume building, mental health, and transitioning from middle school to high school.
