Teacher Cynthia Milian Honored at L.A. County Awards Banquet

Cynthia Milian, a 20-year veteran educator, currently teaches third grade Dual Language at Geddes Elementary. Known for her innovative classroom approach, Milian fosters analytical and critical thinking through assignments and lessons. Beyond her classroom, Milian actively pursues professional development, having completed over eight training sessions, including the Latino Family Literacy Project and Teaching English Learners through the Arts.

Milian’s commitment extends to leadership roles, serving on various committees such as the School Site Council and the Gold Ribbon Application Committee. This marks Milian’s second time being named District-wide Teacher of the Year.
