Message from Superintendent Mendoza on the Apalachee High School Tragedy

Dear Baldwin Park Unified Community, 

 

It is with heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences to the families, students, and staff of Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, following the tragedy that took place today. This devastating news profoundly impacts us all. Our thoughts are with everyone in the Barrow County community.  

 

In times of such tragedy, it is crucial that we come together to support one another. Baldwin Park Unified School District recognizes the importance of mental health, and we want to assure you that resources are available for our students and staff. If you or someone you know needs support, please do not hesitate to reach out. 

 

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We remain committed to working closely with local authorities and community partners to maintain safe environments in all our schools.
