Baldwin Park Adult Transition Program Celebrates 2023-24 Graduates

The ceremony honored six students who have successfully navigated the program's rigorous focus on daily living skills, increasing self-reliance, community access, career exploration, socialization, and practical skills. The students recognized were Huy Nguyen, Jason Nguyen, Edwin Martinez, Jorge Curiel, Caroline Escobar, and Alberto Torres.


The event was hosted by Abraham Ortega, the program's dedicated Job Developer, who ensured the proceedings were both smooth and memorable. Certificates were presented to the students, acknowledging their hard work and achievements throughout the program. In a show of community support, the Mayor of Baldwin Park attended the celebration, adding a touch of civic pride to the occasion.


The guest speaker for the evening was Karl Wegner, a retired educator from Baldwin Park, whose inspiring words resonated with both students and attendees. Wegner's speech highlighted the importance of perseverance and the significant strides each student has made towards adulthood and post-secondary success.


Following the ceremony, families and supporters were invited to enjoy photos.The celebration served as a testament to the students' dedication and the program's commitment to fostering independence and success among its participants.
