Geddes Elementary Students Receive Generous Visit from Southern California Edison

The energetic event kicked off with Southern California Edison (SCE) employees demonstrating the importance of safety, and showing students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade how they use special equipment at work. Students had the opportunity to see and learn about various tools used by SCE professionals such as their tool belt, gloves, shoe covers for climbing, hard hats, vests, and the popular high rise bucket trucks.

“We are very thankful for SCE’s inspiring visit and meaningful contribution to our students,” said Geddes Elementary Principal Wendy C. Enriquez.

SCE representatives extended their generosity by donating 100 new gift-wrapped pairs of shoes and socks to students in need. These gifts are a part of SCE’s commitment to giving back to local communities. Students received a pair of shoes based on their size and were able to unwrap their new shoes and gift bags together.

“We are always eager to donate and volunteer to various causes that align with our values,” said SCE representative Berenice Madrigal Preciado.
