This year’s Annual Field Tournament was electric with the BPHS Ted K. Gorrell Stadium stands full of cheering students, families, and community attendees.
In a spectacular display, the following nearby school bands performed: Maywood High School, El Monte High School Monrovia High School, Damien High School, John F. Kennedy High School Venice High School, Marshall Fundamental High School, Mark Keppel High School, Charter Oak High School, Claremont High School, Los Altos High School, Baldwin Park High School, Glendora High School, Theodore Roosevelt High School, Arroyo High School, Upland High School, Chino High School, Sierra Vista High School, and Anaheim High School.
Under the direction of Peter Huerta, BPHS Braves Entertainment Corps carried out a powerful performance featuring popular songs including “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child, among others. The event concluded with an awards ceremony that celebrated the outstanding musical achievements of the participating bands, led by the BPHS Braves Entertainment Corps leaders.
The SVHS Marching Dons executed a strong season opening performance of their show titled “A Mathematical Odyssey”, earning them 2nd place overall Auxiliary, and 3rd place band in the 5A division. The grand Sweepstake award of the evening was bestowed upon Chino High School.
