More than 190 juniors from Sierra Vista High School were treated to a day at Dodger Stadium, complete with a College Fair and game, to celebrate students for meeting their A-G requirements.
The Dodgers College and Career Fair kicked off on May 3 and was followed by the Dodgers’ exciting 10-6 victory against the Philadelphia Phillies.
During the College and Career Fair, students browsed informational booths to learn about local universities, colleges and trade schools, as well as a variety of career pathways.
The day at Dodger Stadium was a reward for Sierra Vista students who completed their A-G requirements, which make them eligible to apply to a four-year university in California.
To meet or exceed the A-G requirements, students must take at least two years of a history or social science class, four years of college preparatory English, three years of mathematics, two years of laboratory science classes, two years of a language other than English, one year of visual and performing arts and one year of a college preparatory elective.
