Dear Baldwin Park Unified Community,
Yesterday, our nation experienced yet another national tragedy with the devastating shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in which multiple children and adults lost their lives.
We understand that this tragedy may impact our students, staff, and families. Children may have questions or feel the need to talk about what happened. Please know that we are all processing this devastation together as we grieve for the victims, their families, and the survivors who are permanently changed by this horrific act.
We encourage you to have an open dialogue with your children. The following resources may be helpful to you in facilitating these discussions:

At Baldwin Park Unified, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. In our commitment to ensuring the safety of our campuses, we ask for your help in continuing to create safe spaces and report any concerns. We continue to encourage our students, staff, and families to say something if they hear something, or know something. Please be assured that the District has a great collaboration with the Baldwin Park Police Department, which is providing additional support and patrols near and around our school campuses.

Estimada comunidad del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park,
Ayer, nuestra nación experimentó otra tragedia nacional con el devastador tiroteo en la Escuela Primaria Robb en Uvalde, Texas, en el que varios niños y adultos perdieron la vida.
Entendemos que esta tragedia puede afectar a nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias. Los niños pueden tener preguntas o sentir la necesidad de hablar sobre lo que sucedió.
