Baldwin Park Unified is launching ParentSquare, a secure, all-in-one tool that will streamline communications with families to keep them more connected to their children’s teachers, schools and District.
ParentSquare will be in full use at the start of the 2022-23 school year. The first phase of the launch will begin Monday, March 21, with all Baldwin Park Unified communications coming from the two-way platform.
The platform will provide employees and families with a seamless experience, easy access to all updates from the District, schools, classrooms, and school activity groups. Through ParentSquare, parents will be able to fill out forms and permission slips, sign up for parent-teacher conferences, check grades and attendance, and more.
“We want to provide every tool necessary to ensure BPUSD parents are actively participating in their children’s education,” Superintendent Dr. Froilan N. Mendoza said. “The District is excited to use the ParentSquare platform, which will help strengthen parent engagement and improve student success.”
ParentSquare incorporates a smartphone app, which can be customized so families receive information in the formats they prefer, using either their computers or mobile devices. The system includes alerts, tools for confirming participation in conferences and events, and the ability to send messages back to teachers and administrators.
In the next few days, BPUSD schools will provide families with guidance on how to register for ParentSquare.
