Baldwin Park voters on Nov. 4 re-elected Board of Education President Christina Lucero and board member Santos Hernandez Jr., as well as returning 2017-18 board member Diana E. Miranda-Dzib.
Members of the board will be sworn in during a scheduled organizational meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The meeting will be held virtually.
“On behalf of Baldwin Park Unified, I want to thank the Baldwin Park community for using their voices and exercising their right to vote,” Superintendent Dr. Froilan Mendoza said. “The District, guided by the Board of Education, will continue to embody our mission of ensuring high achievement for all learners.”
Lucero will be entering her fourth consecutive term on the Board of Education. Hernandez has served on the Board since December 2015. Miranda-Dzib is a high school coordinator at Mt. San Antonio College and was previously appointed to the board in 2017, completing an unexpired term.
They will join Board of Education Clerk/Vice President Betsabel Lara and board member Deanna Coronado Robles.
Baldwin Park Unified’s next virtual Board of Education meeting will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.
