Dear Baldwin Park Unified Community,
With the first month of the 2020-21 school year underway, we want to express how proud we are of our students, parents, educators, staff and administrators for working so hard during this challenging time.
Baldwin Park Unified is committed to ensuring high achievement for all learners and this is supported when students attend their classes every single day. This is why, for the second year, the BPUSD Board of Education has designated September as Attendance Awareness Month.
We understand that distance learning cannot replace the connection and engagement of in-person learning, and that extra challenges have been placed on families who are balancing schedules to ensure their children are excelling. BPUSD is grateful to all our families for adapting to these changes and supporting their children’s education.
Students being present for their daily lessons allows for important interaction with teachers and classmates, and ensures they are not falling behind in their studies during this time of distance learning.
Any families or students in need of assistance related to distance learning, including District devices, technology or personal support, are encouraged to reach out to their respective schools. Our teams of counselors, psychologists, educators and principals are ready and willing to help!
To maintain a solid academic foundation during these trying times is no easy feat. It requires trust, communication, hard work and, above all, that students are present for every class.
Baldwin Park Unified is proud of our dedicated students; they deserve the very best. Together, we can ensure that Baldwin Park children will continue to receive a high-quality education that prepares them for college, career and any challenges that lay ahead.
