Baldwin Park Unified School District is extending its Seamless Summer Meal Program after the USDA announced the approval to continue the use of the program through Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.
The Seamless Summer Program allows districts to provide food to all children under the age of 18 regardless of whether or not the children are enrolled in the participating school district. These meals are provided free of charge.
Twenty BPUSD schools are open and provide a five-day meal supply, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, to all students wishing to participate. The Grab and Go meals are available for pick up from 9 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday.
Children do not need to be present to pick up meals. Meal distribution cards will be required for BPUSD students, and name and birthdate will be required for students not enrolled with the District.
Updated meal announcements will be shared on the District’s parent portals, as well as the District’s website and social media pages.
