Community Message on the 2020 Census

Dear Baldwin Park Unified School District Community,

We strive to ensure high achievement for all learners, which includes making sure all students have the tools and resources they need to succeed. It is our goal for all Baldwin Park Unified families to be counted in the 2020 Census to help ensure BPUSD can serve the community to the best of its ability.

As the 2020 Census approaches, we want to encourage all parents and families to fill out the Census questionnaire. The process is safe, secure and confidential.

The Census count plays a critical role in securing appropriate funding for programs such as before- and after-school programs, as well as meal programs. An accurate count ensures our District will receive fair funding to serve our students.

Personal information you provide on the Census is protected by law and will not be shared with any other federal agency. The 2020 Census asks no questions about citizenship.

This year, the Census will rely heavily on online responses.

Census day is April 1, 2020 and individuals will have until July 30 to complete the questionnaire. For more information, visit: www.census.gov.

On behalf of Baldwin Park Unified School District, thank you for stepping up and being counted!
