BALDWIN PARK – Schools across Baldwin Park Unified are recognizing students for their perfect attendance during September Attendance Awareness Month to promote the District’s yearlong attendance campaign.
Slogans and hashtags like “Attendance Matters” and “Glad You Are Here” can be spotted throughout Baldwin Park Unified to highlight the importance of consistent attendance. At Foster and Geddes elementary schools, classrooms are being celebrated for achieving perfect attendance.
At Central Elementary School, a parent assembly addressed why strong attendance is essential for student achievement and reaching graduation. Walnut Elementary unveiled its HERO attendance theme (Here Every day Ready On time), featuring classroom posters to recognize perfect attendance and honoring the top three classes with the best attendance.
“Baldwin Park Unified is dedicated to ensuring high achievement for all learners, and we can only achieve this if our students are in their seats and ready to learn every day,” Superintendent Dr. Froilan N. Mendoza said. “We are so proud of our principals, teachers, school staff and parents for helping support our students and encouraging them to practice regular school attendance.”
